VFR NIGHT RATING
Would you like to fly after dark? Many find night flights more exciting. Nevertheless, flying after dark requires different set of skills from a pilot. You can gain them in our flying school completing VFR Night training. This will enable you to enjoy flying not only during the daytime!
VFR Night training program consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. After you complete the course in our training center, you will receive a certificate. On its basis, the Civil Aviation Authority will make an entry to your pilot license. PPL(A) or LAPL(A), which will entitle you to perform flights after dark.
What are the requirements to apply for VFR Night rating?
- VFR Night can be done by student pilots towards the end of their PPL(A) or LAPL(A) training or by PPL(A) or LAPL(A) holders,
- Class II medical certificate is necessary to start the training.
Theoretical part of VFR Night course.
Theoretical part of the course covers 5-hour-training, which is held in our training center. It does not end with an exam. Upon completion of the course you will get a certificate which you need to submit to the Civil Aviation Authority.
Practical part of the VFR Night course.
Practical part of the course comprises minimum 5 hours of training in air (recommended 10 hours) conducted on aircrafts from our fleet. Night flights begin 30 minutes after the sunset. Your every flight will be preceded by a briefing. Moreover, after each lesson we will make a summary of the most important issues to prepare you better for your next training session. Practical training is conducted on the basis of a training program approved by the Civil Aviation Authority.
